Virtual Floral Design | From the Garden to Your Vase

Notes

The cutting garden in August is lush with blooms. A variety of colors and textures fill the garden beds. Dahlias, zinnias, celosia, sunflowers, gomphrena, salvia, and herbs are just some of the delights to select for your floral creations. In this virtual workshop, we will create a rustic and casual floral design using blooms from local flower farms in the D.C. region.

Ami Wilber helps you create a beautiful creation with step-by-step guidance and plenty of time to ask questions. Supplies are not included, but a materials list is included below should participants wish to follow along at home:

• Blooms:
  • 5-7 stems dahlias, button variety 
  • 1 bunch zinnias 
  • 1 bunch mixed celosia, brain & candlestick 
  • 1 bunch rudbeckia 
  • 1 bunch basil, African blue basil variety
• Other Materials:
  • Ceramic jug/pitcher (6"x 4.25"x 5.25")
